Piano Music Overview
Lesson Book
Younger students will start with the Faber Method, unless a different approach better suits their needs. More advanced students will use a method that supports steady progress in sight-reading and learning one piece every 1–2 weeks.
Repertoire Book
Students will work on classical pieces that take longer to master. These are chosen based on skill level, reading ability, and practice habits.
Variety Book
This student-choice book— such as classical, hymns, praise and worship, popular, or patriotic—matches the Lesson Book level and helps build sight-reading skills through fun, engaging pieces.
Chord & Theory Work
Exploring chords and theory, especially in the context of praise bands or lead sheets, helps students apply what they learn to real-world music-making and boosts their overall understanding and creativity.
