Teaching Philosophy
With years of teaching experience, I’ve come to deeply value the uniqueness of each student. I believe every child is wonderfully created by God, each with their own gifts, story, and way of learning. My goal is to help students discover and grow those gifts through music and education.
Piano lessons are more than learning notes—they are a journey of building confidence, discipline, and joy. Students thrive when we nurture both skill and relationship, and when their growth is supported by a loving community of family, friends, and teachers.
Curriculum is more than a worksheet or activity—it is a thoughtful, living part of the learning process. It serves as a bridge between teacher and student, shaped by ongoing communication, observation, and care. Meaningful curriculum honors each student’s individuality while meeting the broader need of the class or studio. When crafted with excellence and intention, it becomes a tool for growth, inspiration, and deeper connection.
Progress will look different for each student, and that’s a beautiful part of the process. As we learn and share music, we aim to do so with hearts aligned to Colossians 3:23—“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
